What Does a BodyTalk Session look like?
Tailored just for you
A BodyTalk session usually lasts between 15 & 60 mins. The duration of the session is not indicative of the quality of the session or of the results that will occur. It is the Innate Intelligence of the client that indicates what is required at that time for the body-mind to move to the next level of healing.
The client is relaxed either on a massage table or sitting in a chair.
During your first appointment you will be asked to fill out a comprehensive and confidential medical history form that will allow the practitioner to find out why you are there and what you would like to explore during the treatment. There is nothing that BodyTalk cannot address.
Simple
Your BodyTalk practitioner utilises the BodyTalk Protocol to determine where communication needs to be restored. This occurs through the use of a simple yes/no biofeedback process.
Safe
Compromised communication within the body-mind begins to be restored by touching the areas of the body highlighted through the protocol, then light tapping across both hemispheres of the brain and on the heart energy complex to stimulate the body to heal and balance itself.
Sensations: It is common to experience such things as: gurgling in the abdominal region (as energy is releasing from the diaphragm), warm or cold sensations, general calming and relaxation throughout the body, sudden urges to express an emotion (e.g. laughing, crying). If you are not comfortable sharing what you are feeling or thinking about…you don’t have to. The session will be beneficial regardless of whether or not there is a conscious exchange between you and the practitioner.
Fast
The Innate Intelligence will determine the end of the session and when the next session is due.
Effective
Latent Effects: BodyTalk continues to work even after the session ends since your innate wisdom is healing you from the inside out. Energetic shifts throughout the body mean that your system has to rewire to the new changes. The brain now recognizes the new state of health but is still wired to work as it did previously. Therefore, over the next few days, weeks or months you will notice improvements in your physical, mental, and spiritual self as your brain rewires – this is commonly known as neuroplasticity.
Continual healing occurs for days, even weeks after the session.

How It Works
During a BodyTalk session, the practitioner facilitates communication with the innate wisdom of the body by using neuromuscular biofeedback. By following a comprehensive protocol of questions, the client’s body leads the practitioner to locate the imbalances within the body-mind complex that innate identifies as a priority.
Next, the practitioner holds the areas that have been highlighted and taps gently over the head and the sternum. Tapping over the head stimulates the brain centers and causes the brain to re-evaluate the state of the body’s health, while reestablishing the lines of communication in that area (based on ancient Hatha Yoga philosophy). Tapping over the heart stimulates the dynamic energy of the heart complex. The heart is responsible for communicating the state of the body's health to the rest of the body. Stimulating the heart by tapping the sternum forces the heart to store the corrected energy patterns in the body's cellular memory. This means that the body will remember these changes long after the treatment.
BodyTalk ensures that the body can function and operate at optimal levels, which in turn accelerates the healing process and promotes homeostasis. BodyTalk teaches the body to return to and maintain a healthy state of balance.
Bodytalk Protocol
Just as the body heals a wound with a particular sequencing of chemical reactions, the body wants to address all healing in a certain order. The BodyTalk protocol is like a map that allows the practitioner to uncover the weak energy circuits within the body-mind complex, in the specific order that the body needs to heal itself.
BodyTalk Practitioner
The practitioner is guided by the body’s innate wisdom (internal director) through the protocol (external map) to locate the weakened lines of communication in the body-mind complex.
The BodyTalk practitioner does not diagnose, nor give medical advice regarding areas addressed during the session. BodyTalk is not meant to replace medical treatment. The information given during the session is educational in nature, and is meant to assist the client in becoming more involved in his/her healing. Review our BodyTalk Practitioners.
