BodyTalk Access
Health Empowerment in 10 Minutes
The Access training provides the layperson, family, and community with a simple set of energy-based techniques to make health maintenance and the management of daily health challenges accessible.
The BodyTalk System is a well-established system of health care utilizing state-of-the-art energy medicine in a safe and comprehensive manner. This system normally utilizes an elaborate protocol which requires intensive training. But the International BodyTalk Association has recognized the critical need for a simplified version of the system to provide access to many of the key benefits of BodyTalk to as many people as possible.
BodyTalk Access is designed to be used by any layperson or health care provider to bring about significant improvement in health using five simple techniques that can be learned in one day and implemented in 10 minutes.
It is our hope that BodyTalk Access will be able to provide a basic level of health maintenance in communities and countries around the world where good basic health care may not be available.
Techniques
These Techniques are Simple, Safe, Effective and easily learnt.
Cortices
The Cortices technique is designed to improve and balance the communication between the two halves of the brain. (It’s like hitting the reset button on your brain’s computer.) This will improve the efficiency of the brain - thereby improving overall health. Specific immediate effects include improvements in thinking ability, memory, concentration, stress reduction, feelings of wellbeing, and general physiological functioning of the body.
Switching
One of the common side effects of stress is the tendency for the mind to go into a “switching” mode - where normal brain coordination is compromised. This can show up as inattentiveness, poor decision-making, confusion, making silly mistakes, poor coordination, and mood swings. The “switched” person often reverses simple things like left and right; yes and no. The Switching technique can help restore normal brain function.
Hydration
The body is 70-80% water. All physiological processes in the cells, nerves, organs, and other structures are dependent upon a good supply of water. Even if someone drinks plenty of water, the body may not be utilizing it well. Very often the transportation of water across the cell membranes is compromised. The Hydration technique helps to correct the body’s ability to fully use the water it has available - thereby greatly improving the efficiency of all physiological processes.
Body Chemistry
This amazing technique is designed to stimulate the immune system of the body into addressing many chronic and acute conditions. Often viruses, bacteria, and parasites are not effectively addressed by the body’s immune system because of various imbalances in the body. The Body Chemistry technique can correct these imbalances so that the body can then restore health without the need for drug intervention. This technique also works to help the immune system address allergies, food intolerances, and accumulated toxins.
Reciprocals
The integrity of the structure of the body is critical for living a healthy and mobile life. The coordination of the muscles, balance of the muscle tone, and the unrestricted flow of energy through the body are all critical to healthy functioning at all levels of the bodymind complex. The Reciprocals technique involves reestablishing the integrity of the structures of the body and can have a significant effect on many forms of injuries, arthritis, circulatory issues, coordination patterns, spinal problems, and chronic pain.
First Aid Techniques
The BodyTalk Access system also includes an effective first aid system that is non-invasive, safe, and very simple. It will resolve simple issues as a stand alone technique. In serious conditions it is designed to be used safely until specialized health care arrives.

I really enjoyed the practical application and immediate results I could feel, and now with a more thorough understanding of BT Access I can look after my own wellness and that of my family and friends.

Stories from around the world of the results of Access:
My 9 year old daughter, Lauren, had her fingers caught in the door jam of a very heavy restaruant door. When I opened the door and she pulled her hand out I could see her fingers beginning to swell and 3 of her fingernails turning blue. We used the Access First Aid protocol and by the time we got home (10 minutes) she was calm and her fingernails were no longer blue. The next morning her hand was fine, no pain or swelling!

A young boy of approx. 3 years had a tonsil and adenoid operation and returned to the ward screaming, thrashing about, confused, in pain and very distressed. His mother and the nursing staff tried to calm him, give him oral medication and restrain his thrashing without much success and plenty of distress to the child, mother, fellow children patients in the ward and the nursing staff. The child was having a reaction to the anaesthetic and I was given permission to do 3 of the Access techniques- cortices, switching and body chemistry -from a distance, and in aprox. a minute the child calmed down and went to sleep on his mothers lap. I know from experience that BodyTalk before an operation helps promote faster healing and recovery and this is still the ideal. However, if all you have is Access then proactively doing all 5 Access techniques before the operation and then again during the recovery process will go a long way towards a less stressful response to the operation, hospital experience and recovery for all involved.

Just returned from a quick and intense four days in Ontario where I performed my poetry and gave writing workshops and visited family. You can imagine the number of "buttons" exposed here--family dynamics, beliefs about airplanes, am I good enough, eating, sleeping, exercising etc... well, one thing I maintanined while I was away was my daily bodytalk access routine and I must sing its praises... Firstly, no fatigue, no jetlag. I must repeat that. NO fatigue. No jetlag. No colds, flus, sore necks from strange pillows etc. No stage fright. No family stuff (other than enormous stores of compassion). We have something amazing here with access. Please, please, spread the word and keep tapping.

This Fast Aid experience would have been more successful if I had listened to my Innate when I first sensed it. I tapped myself out for Body Chemistry after I got stung by a bee two days ago. I did BC twice and had the sense I should do Fast Aid. I didn't do it because I reasoned BC was enough and I was impatient to get on with my task (collecting twigs for the fireplace). I watched a welt develop and grow bigger and bigger and then did BC again. I still had the sense to do FA but didn't and then watched (silly aren't I?) my right forearm swell. I kept thinking it will stop but it didn't. As the swelling crept towards my elbow I decided to do FA. The swelling stopped.

I was bicycle commuting in the winter which I'd been doing for a couple years, and decided to take a side street which wasn't well-cleared of snow & ice. As I was riding along, I was impressed how well my tires were gripping and amazed at the lack of slipperiness....jinx! My bike slipped out from under me & I put my hands out to break my fall. I could tell that my right wrist jammed which was not a good thing considering I was still practicing massage therapy at the time. I dragged my bike to the sidewalk and started w/Fast Aid for my wrist. I repeated it when I arrived home and the next day my wrist was completely fine. Didn't need to ice or anything!

Living in the Caribbean there is a problem with fire ants..... Normally stepping in a mound of fire ants would mean several stings of a incredible painful feeling and then over a two week period unbelievable itching, blisters, and then scarring.. Upon trying out first aid on the bites .... the sting completely goes away... no blisters, and no itching ....Just nothing!!!....... Hallelujah...

My story starts in Brisbane where I was attending mod 4/7 with Sylvia on 11th March. I was awake early on the first morning and went for a fast walk. I did not see the irregularity in the pavement and caught my toe diving full length on to concrete. I turned my head to the side so as not to break my teeth and broke my spectacle lens instead. This in turn cut my eyebrow. As soon as I got to my feet I tapped my cortices, and on my way back to my motel tapped the eyebrow and the bleeding had almost stopped. I went to my room to clean up and tapped out all the reciprocals around the area, cortices again then went to the medical centre where the doctor put three stitches in it. From there I went on to the course and each day did Access procedures so when I arrived back in New Zealand 6 days later the swelling and bruising was gone and the stitches had been taken out on the Wednesday so there was no sign on my face except for my broken specs.
